All transactions made with the Irish Blue Cross on this website are in Euro.

How we process your Credit Card

The Irish Blue Cross uses Realex, a third party payment-processing company, to process credit card payments made through this website.

Realex Payments operates security policies and controls that are industry standards.

  • All servers are located in secure 24x7 manned facilities.
  • All the necessary environmental monitoring and control systems expected are in place - dual power, backup generators, dual ISP connections etc.
  • The topology of the Realex network is such that sensitive data is never held in any network segment accessible from the internet.
  • All critical servers operate from pools or clusters to ensure the highest standards of resilience and availability.
  • All connections to the banks are completed over private dedicated circuits that are managed by Realex banking partners.
  • All Realex services have been fully certified and approved by the banks with whom Realex works.
  • All messages sent to Realex, via the internet, are encrypted using SSL - an industry standard.
  • All messages are authenticated using (MD5/SHA1) hashes.
  • Access to the Realex reporting system requires authentication and all sessions are encrypted.

Order processing

The Irish Blue Cross makes every effort to process all orders promptly. Delivery of items within Ireland is by normal post.


If, for any reason, within seven days of receipt by you of the product you have ordered, you are dissatisfied with the product, please return it to us, in its original condition, for refund or replacement. Postage charges will not be refunded. Partial return of products will not be accepted. Refunds will be made in Euro.
